When you want to sample four kinds of pasta on one plate, you're right at home. I came here on a whim because I knew I wanted Italian food but also love tapas style of eating to sample everything. Alas, this would have to do on my random work trip in Overland Park.
It just met my expectations based on previous reviewers' experiences. It is good, not great. It surpasses Olive Garden or something of the like but it's not gourmet. Let's just say I'm shocked they provide cloth napkins.
These are the foods I used as my litmus test to see if this place is overall worth trying:
Salad (when it is already dressed, that can be dicey) - it was not wilted and tasted really fresh
Calamari - not rubbery! Win.
Pasta (I tried four) - despite them trying to pass off carbonara as a cream-based dish (it absolutely is not), almost all of the noodles were al dente!
They had somewhat of a wine selection (I expected only house wines) so that was a pleasant surprise.
But some things were just clumsy:
Eggplant Parmesan was overly breaded and pasty tasting
Arancini - doubtful that leftover risotto was used. Looked and felt more like regular rice to me.
The vegetables were not over cooked but had way too much raw Italian herbs added in too late in the cooking process. Extremely overpowering.
On desserts, they have a hefty selection! I went with a made to order crepe because - why not?! It was just ok. Would have been better with fresh strawberries and not the gross ones in syrup. The chocolate molten cake was delicious though. Very moist and warm and perfect. Disappointed in the cool whip though. Come on - never substitute REAL whipped cream with this stuff!
Great place to bring a crowd of picky eaters. They also have a generous selection of vegetarian options on any given night it seems. Vegans: nope. There would probably be some items but otherwise almost everything has cheese, milk, cream, etc.
I would actually recommend it because it's affordable and decent overall. -

Boy, do I love this place. I've been here multiple times and greatly enjoyed every visit, and so I can't think why I haven't written a review before.
I went here with a friend on my birthday for Sunday brunch. Always before I had enjoyed dinner here, so brunch was new for me. This means that in addition to the soups, salads, breads, pasta, pizza, and Italian specialties that are always featured here, they also offered bacon, ham, pancakes, Eggs Benedict, Snickerdoodle muffins (simply divine), and other breakfasty fare, which was absolutely yum.
I always make a point to only take a bit of the things I know I'll really love when I go here, because there is so much, and it's all yummy, so it's really hard to choose. I always get some of their eggplant Parmesan, and I never miss their fried fish with lemon caper sauce because it is sooooo good! Ditto their garlic mashed potatoes and Chianti gravy. And little dabs of lots of the other goodies, because everything is wonderful.
But I always save room for the dessert bar. Their little warm chocolate lava cakes are to die for, as are their fresh berries with special cream. They also have cannoli and a complete selection of ice cream.
But thanks to my friend's subterfuge, before I could even get to the dessert bar, our waitress came out with a huge slice of chocolate cake, complete with a lit birthday candle. It was excellent.
All this for a Senior Price of $14.89 (plus tax & tip) made it a delicious bargain and a wonderful event.
Boy, I love this place. -

A buffet that refuses to be called a buffet.... and with reason. The interior and exterior decor raises this location one star higher due to the ambiance.
There were many notable dishes that I did not mind eating: lasagna, meatloaf, pizza, and KC BBQ. Their various pastas were not bad either. If you had not noticed, no clear winners that I loved to eat. The desserts were pretty good, and perhaps the ice cream or crepes deserve that honor.
Worth a visit. Perhaps with the wide variety of options you will find a favorite. -

Customer service was great, from hostess to servers. They always checked up on us, topped off our drinks and made sure we were having a good time. The food is On point for an Italian buffet. This was one of our first Italian buffets and if you want a quality buffet that is inexpensive this is the place to go. The pasta was so delicious and the noodles were perfect. The salad was fresh and had dressing and surprisingly It wasn't over powering. KC BBQ was good and omg the Pizza was really good. I mostly enjoyed the soup, we tried all three but the squash was my favorite. All in All, It exceeded expectations and for the price, you can't beat that. We will definitely be returning.

Most of you that have read my reviews know that I love food. Specifically custom flavorful dishes. You may also know that I do not feel we have enough tapas restaurants that serve small plates. Allowing you to taste so many different varieties in one seating. But, you may have also seen my feelings about buffets. For those of you that haven't... Not a fan of leaving food out in an open air capacity for long periods of time... even if you are putting ice or heat under it. No, I do not feel that all buffets are gross... just most of them.
Imagine my surprise at my first journey to the place called Cinzetti's. Yes, it is a buffet. The food is out and people que up go get it as they desire. The kitchens are directly behind each of the stations where the food is presented to the feaster. These are amazing. So many stations. So many great tastes. Pastas, Salads, meatloaf, pizza, crepes, deserts of all kinds, and nothing that wasn't absolutely delicious.
This location also has a full bar. I have only tried a few cocktails but each was fantastic.
The staff has always been polite and helpful. Those working the crepes and deserts are happy to give you details about what they are doing "time and work load permitting of course?"
Next time I will note all the different dishes that I try so I can give a detailed report on some of the foods vs this over encompassing of the restaurant itself.
Thanx for reading and keep on eating!
